We find them under many names: king mushroom, royal brown mushroom, french horn, pleurotus eryngii, king trumpet mushroom, king brown mushroom, boletus of the steppes, trumpet royale, ali\u02bbi oyster!<\/p>\n<p>They have a thick, tender and plump stem (stipos) &amp; a smaller cap (pilus). When cooked they resemble a shell. King Oysters have superior <strong>umami* taste, strong aroma, crunchy texture\u2026<\/strong> that take you on a culinary journey!
